Lure Therapy Tournaments respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information and data you provide when using the Lure Therapy Tournaments mobile application and related services.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you regarding your information.

Passwords are handled through our authentication service and are not displayed to tournament participants or other users.

Tournament Information

• Events you register for or join
• Tournament registration information
• Event participation status
• On-water and off-water status
• Tournament acknowledgements, waivers or safety confirmations
• Competition results and leaderboard information

Some tournament information, such as angler names, catches, scores and leaderboard positions, may be visible to other tournament participants or members of the public where an event provides a public leaderboard or results page.

Catch Information

• Catch photographs
• Fish species
• Fish length or measurement
• Date and time of submission
• Tournament or event associated with the catch
• Angler information associated with the submission
• Approval or rejection status
• Location information where required for tournament verification

Camera, Photos and Location

The app may request access to your camera, photo library and device location for features such as catch submission, profile images and tournament verification. Location information may include GPS latitude and longitude and is not used for advertising.

Push Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app may collect a push notification token to deliver tournament updates, schedule or location changes, safety information, delays, cancellations, GO notifications, emergency alerts and relevant administrative notifications.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers. Information may be shared where reasonably necessary to operate the service.

Tournament Participants and the Public

Certain tournament information may be visible to other users or publicly displayed, including angler display name, catch photographs, fish species, measurements, scores, placings and tournament results. Precise GPS coordinates are not intended to be publicly displayed as part of normal leaderboard information unless specifically required by an event feature and clearly disclosed.

Tournament Directors and Administrators

Authorised tournament directors, administrators and catch approvers may access information necessary to manage events, catches, participants and relevant safety functions.

Service Providers

• Supabase — authentication, database storage, file storage and backend functionality.
• Expo — mobile application infrastructure and push notification delivery.
• Resend — account-related email delivery.
• Apple and Google — app distribution through their platforms.

5. Data Storage and Security

Application data may be stored using cloud-based infrastructure, including Supabase. Information may be processed or stored outside Australia depending on service-provider infrastructure.

We take reasonable steps to protect information through authentication, access controls, restricted administrative permissions, secure connections and database access policies. No electronic storage or internet transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain tournament records and results, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or misuse, meet safety requirements and comply with legal obligations. Information no longer reasonably required may be deleted or anonymised.

7. Account and Data Deletion

Users may request deletion of their account and associated personal information.

Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, safety or legitimate tournament-record purposes.

8. Your Choices and Controls

You may control camera, photo library, location and push-notification permissions through your device settings. Disabling a required permission may prevent certain app features from functioning.

9. Email Communications

We may send transactional emails for account verification, password resets, account information, service messages and security communications.

10. Advertising and Sale of Data

Lure Therapy Tournaments does not currently use personal information for targeted advertising and does not sell users' personal information.

11. Children's Privacy

Lure Therapy Tournaments is not specifically directed toward children. Where a minor participates in an organised tournament, appropriate consent and supervision may be the responsibility of the participant's parent, guardian and/or tournament organiser as applicable.

Third-party services may have their own privacy policies and data-handling practices.

13. Legal Requirements

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect user safety, investigate fraud or misuse, protect rights, or respond to an emergency involving safety or security.
